Entry Qualification

a) Basic Nursing

Applicants must possess a West African Senior School Certificate (WASC) or an equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 credit passes, including English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, obtained within two sittings.

The results of the WASC, G.C.E, or NECO exams should not be older than 10 years from the date of the examination.

b) Post Basic Nursing 

The post-basic nurse training program is available for registered midwives who meet specific requirements. In addition to the basic entry requirements for the training program, applicants must provide evidence of completing the compulsory one-year community midwifery training and have a registration notification from the council.

c)  Others 

Additional admission requirements include specific individuals who are authorized by the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria to undergo a designated period of training in an approved school in Nigeria before registration. This applies to foreign graduate nurses seeking admission into the program.

  • Completed forms are to be returned to the Principal, (Nursing) FCT College of Nursing Sciences Gwagwalada.
  • The completed form must be submitted immediately after filling in for Data Capturing.
